fan motor noise V70-XC70 2001

Recently I have noticed that my wife's 2001 V70T5 makes a chirping noise from time to time.
I have isolated the chirping to the fan motor as the noise stops when I turn off the fan.
Has anyone had a similar problem? and if so, what did you do to fix it?
I think that there may be some debris or something inside that is making the noise when the fan is running. Or the motor is going out and the fan is not running "even" and a bearing may be worn and allowing the fan to not run true.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks very much, Fred.
