Volvo S70 cam alignment issue! S70 1998

As rule 308 stated you now need the cam shaft setting tool to get the cam alignment, and to get the correct crank alignment, there is a tool that installs (I think, by the starter motor), that inserts a pin into the flywheel to hold things in proper alignment. I can't comment if that is a true TDC, or if this is just how Volvo does it.

Here was a link I found that MIGHT??? help, but they want money to see the answer, so who knows if it would be helpful.

Here is yet another that gives the process of doing cam maintenaince using the tooling. It might give you some idea.

Here is a link to e-bay for the tooling, but not sure it will work on a VVT engine, but it does have a crank locator in the set.
