i have seen several threads about the 850's giving folks a fit when they need to get it to pass the California smog test. it sounds like it has several minor issues, hopefully none of them are major mechanical problems. the price seems good but you already know it will need work and the smog issue can take time and attention and ca$h. take a long test drive to an independent Volvo shop. the windows and seats malfunction is common at this age.
