'08 XC70 teething problems? V70-XC70

In '01, the V70 was greatly changed, and the first year of the run, there were more problems than later. (I have an '02).

I'm thinking about buying a leftover '08 XC70. As that was the first year of another extensive revision of the car, I am concerned about whether there are "first year issues" which have been corrected for '09. Also are there good reasons to prefer an '09 to an '08?

Besides the sagging driver seat on my '02 plain V70 (corrected with 1/8 inch plywood and carpet padding under the foam) (but it still is not really comfortable), I am concerned with how boatlike my '02 feels at say 80 mph, which is sometimes the speed that traffic flows. Sometimes I think that I need a BMW to compensate for getting older. Does the '08 XC70 handle better or worse at high speeds than the older V70 FWD models?
