Driver's side door lock C70 2001

Hello Brickboarders, I own a '01 C70 that is starting to have a problem with the driver's side door lock. From time to time when I push the remote unlock button on the key fob, the driver's side door lock button will not go up.
When I push the button a second time, the passenger side button will come up every time, but still not the driver's side.

When I am inside the car, I will sometimes lock the car doors using the switch on the driver side door panel and occassionally the dirver's side door button will not go down into the locked position.

I believe that there is nothing wrong with the remote but that I have a switch inside the driver's side door panel that is going bad.

Has anyone had this happen and if so, how did you deal with it? Do you have instructions on how to remove the driver's inside door panel and then how to get to this switch and where it is located for removal and replacement?

Thank you for any and all suggestions and assistance. Fred.
