How can I disable the STC function? S60 2004

As far as I know, the STC system engaged the brakes once the system detects slippage.

...I dont' like this...to me, this is one of Volvo's passive safety devices designed for those who dont' know how to handle a car on icy roads. With a 5 speed stick, and NA motor, I have never had a problem keeping my cars under control.

If the system engages the brakes, will this not wear out the brakes prematurely?

Is there any way to disable this system without permanently "killing" the system? Currently whenever we drive the car, we have to press the switch to switch off the system. Is there a fuse I can pull or something that I can do to make this system go away until I sell the car to the next owner?
