Engine Swap Info 850

Hi Everybody:

Happy new year....especially to Klaus...thanks for the help even Volvoless now.

Just an update.....my 94 cracked a piston ring and I lost compression in a cylinder. I have many new parts on the car and it still looks ok, so I got an engine from a 96 850 with 70,000 mi on it (LKQ Canada) for 550.00 including shipping and had it installed for 900.00. The shop replaced the rear main seal and timing belt prior to installing. The car is an absolute monster again. I forgot what the car felt like new. Anyway, for anyone out there with a weak motor, there is still hope for your old brick. Canadian motors are different, so be carefull if putting in an american version. The 96 was different in a number of ways......my fuel rail, intake and exhaust manifolds had to be used. If anyone is up here in Michigan, I can recommend a great shop.
