Cabin Filter 850 1997

That makes more sense! Remove 2 or 3 Torx screws from the cowl under the windshield, passenger side, and then pull the cowl up to reveal the filter. Don't bend/crease the cowl, a couple of inches gives you access to the filter.
When putting the cowl back down, make sure it is snug to the windshield glass.
