Hot start stalling 850 1996

The ECU will also post a fault code if the CPS has a problem. I don't think that is it unless you read the codes and they point to the CPS as a problem.

EDIT: Check the cam sensor wires and make sure they do not get near the plug wires. They have been known to mess each other up.

You have no missfire, but one of your injectors might be fouled and allowing fuel to flow into a cylinder and flooding it. Look at the plugs and see if one or two are black.
Two bottles of injector cleaner and a poor man's tune up might help.
