Power seat conversion V70-XC70 1998

Thank you for the reply, Klaus; however, have already replaced both seats, and, there is a cable breakout from the rail on the passanger side, which I have plugged into the module and other controls onthat side.

So I have seats, but no power; and, the only cable I do not have hooked up is the 4 wire connector that would go to the module on the driver's side.

Most Volvo people told me that the loom "should" have that connector coming
out of the rail on the driver's side. But alas, its not there. [It would make sense that Volvo would not make a special loom for non power seat sales].

According to the wiring diagram, that 4 pin connector which goes to the "A" position on the module, is ground, 12V, one is not used, and the other to the "trouble" module.

Yeah, I shoulda' coulda', just replaced the cover on one seat, but the nicer leather on both amd cushions and backs + the dream of power seats blinded my judgement.

The guy that sold me the seats, was converting his almost restored V70 with a grey interior, thus, the beige stuff was now surplus.

So, there is no wire to trace back to the dash, looks like I will have to make one.

By the way, the usual tappet noise on the 5 cyl has now become an obvious collapsed tappet, which I hope to replace the set before I mushroom the cam [very expensive. Do you know of any cam regrinders that might have the cams for my V70 non turbo?

Thanks for being there.
