1996 855R fuel pump 850

Hi Folks!
I'm replacing the fuel pump in the wagon and between the old stock one and the new one that I purchased from fcp groton, there are some differences.
The part numbers are the same and my dealer here in Calgary said that all the pumps are the same no matter what trim the 850 is.
-The old pump has a black coiled wire inside the housing with a rubber isolator and the new one does not.
-The new pump has a pigtail connection on the quick disconnect and the old one does not.
With the new pump will I still have my trip computer functions regarding fuel to zero and such? I'd hate to put the new pump in, not have it work and not be able to return it since it's been in fuel.

Thanks for any help,
Klaus
