Timing belt alignment correct? V70-XC70 2001

I feel your pain trying to find that bottom mark on my 2000 V70 non turbo! I found the mark after I pulled the harmonic damper (serpentine belt pulley). It comes off leaving the timing belt crank pulley. Looking down onto the top of the crank timing pulley look for a reinforcment rib I believe is cast into the crank seal cover. You have to look really close at the left side rib. My mark was a little tit sticking out at the very bottom of this rib. Take some white or dayglo paint and dab it on it.
Not sure if it would still run if it was one tooth off though. Maybe Klaus knows.
Hope this helps!
JR
