Trany not shifting correctly. sometimes feels like rumble strips at side of road on a 2 to 3 shift. Occasional HARD downshift from 3 to 2. Starting from stop, sometimes not in gear. Transmision has been shifting bad since 115,000. Current miliage: 135,000 and shifts are getting much worse now.

Volvo dealer says only fix: New Transmission, tells me this trany is NOT REBUILDABLE by Volvo or any other shop. is this good info?

Does this car have frequent trany problems?

Is a recycled trany a good choice.

Other than trany the car is Very Good.
