Codes - P0236 - Turbo Sensor and P0237 - Turbo Circuit "A' Low V70-XC70

My check engine light came on and when the codes were pulled from the computer they showed P0236 - Turbo Sensor and P0237 - Turbo Circuit "A" Low. Someone told me that I need to "kick the turbo in the butt" because I am not driving the car hard enough. Any other ideas or suggestions as to what could cause these codes? Do the sensors go bad? The car is a 2002 with 64000 miles on it and is used for short commutes, no real highway driving. Thanks in advance.
