update- feeling helpless - no running Volvo 850 1993

Well, the verdict is in. I got home from the second job today and climbed in for my 2 hours sleep just to get woken up by my better half. PepBoys called and couldn't diagnose the ole Volvo. So I called back, spoke with the mechanic, he said "no pulse, no spark." I attempted advise him with some direction, but he assured me he's "a certified mechanic" and knows his job. I reminded him "yeah, that can't diagnose or fix my car." They want it taken out on the hook. Great in my mind. PLEASE.
Can the Hall Sensor be bought the cheapest at FPGroton? Anybody?
I'm going to research it in the morning, just thought i'd ask in a knowledgable arena!!!!

Have a good weekend all,
Mitch
cleaning and pricing the cam position sensor first thing
