Easy fix. The panels on both sides of the center console, under the dash must come out:

I haven't understood why the glovebox needs to come out.
Make sure you also get 2 O rings with the new core.

Use newspapers to sopp up excess antifreeze under the carpet. It took me 3 days to collect most of it. The Sunday edition worked best!
