ALTERNATOR 850

Hi guys,

My alternator has been making noise intermittently for some time now.
It started with a high pitched whirring sound about 1 month ago and then kind of
when yesterday to a louder chirping sound with 'squealing' belt noise.
Sometimes however, it made no noise at all.

Usually made noise at start-up on a very cold day (I'm leaving northern Vermont) or after a lot of driving.

I'm suspecting the bearings to be the culprit, so I need to remove it to check
things out and/or to replace it.

Any tips/procedure for removal ?

Thanks a million
