Need more help! Glove box door... 850 97

Please. Well I got the latch mechanism and lock brace but honestly I can't see how you can pry the glove box door open far enough to fit a hack saw blade in there. I've already nicked up the material prying and if I pry it far enough open the thing will be destroyed.

When I picked up the parts at the dealer I talked to one of the tech.s and he said they use a hole saw and saw through the door at the latch mechanism, then replace the whole door. The way he described getting the door off the arms sounds kind of involved? Pick and punch to punch out a pin?

Anyway to destroy the latch mechanism from the front and get this thing to open? Otherwise I guess I am drilling through the front of the golve box.

Yes, it's me. I still have the SAAB. I bought this '97 850 GLT AT turbo for my daughter. Still working through some of the issues, like this glove box door.

Thanks.

Cliff
