Interior lights not switching off, battery running down V70-XC70

It is either a faulty micro switch or something caused the door not to close all of the way. The switch, by the way, can be seen with the door open. A small black protrusion just below the lock in the door. You should easily be able to push it and have the lights switch off.

I suggest putting a drop of oil on the switch and working it a few times. Push the switch and then pull the door handle to unlock the switch. If the switch has been pushed, you cannot close the door before releasing it.
