Whenever it is wet, I will drag my brakes a bit to make sure the rotor/disc contact surfaces are clean and ready to bite when I need them, every so often.

Once or twice, when I didn't do this while wet, and driving for a solid 10-20 minutes without using the brakes, I realized just how bad the brakes would get. So ever since, I do that now.
