ETS light but no codes, engine runs fine. Stumped. S70

Unfortunately the car was purchased in 1998 - so am 'ew-scrayed' re the Volvo replacement.

I've read that the cleaning doesn't work - eh?

Replacement ETM's appear to be scarce, checked FCPGroton but they don't list one. XeMODex makes a non-contact one that has good reviews so far. Doesn't need software updating either.

Any comments re replacement ETM sources?

Geez Klaus - seems like you are my personal Volvo guru (the recent fuel relay fix tips in mind)...do you work on F250 diesels too? Harrrrr-harrrr ;>

Many thanks -

Flinch

PS What a pain - just want to sell it, not rebuild the critter! Don't want to screw the next guy tho - a major ethical failing of mine.....

<< Every time I drive my Volvos I hear this crackling noise...like the sound of crisp $100 bills being crumpled up and handed over to the service department...>>
