Front end work - 1600USD S70 1998

Rattling, groaning etc coming from front right wheel. Brought it in 4 mos and complained - he couldnt detect and said keep driving til it got worse... Today quoted- 1600USD for replacement of sway bar, struts, shocks, plates, bushings? (maybe a few other things, dont have detailed quote in hand yet. S70 98, turbo w/129K miles. By doing all this work on front end, will it effect backend???
