Swedish lesson. 850 1995

Sorry David. The "V" IS for versatility. The Swedish word for Wagon

is actually "COMBI". Vagn is short for Vagen which means Road or Way.

Used in a sentence, "Bast bil pa vagn!" ( Best car on the road! ).

Of course, VAGEN is not spelled with an "a", but with an "a" with two

dots over it.( this PC is not set up for the Swedish alphabet ).

The word "bil" means CAR in Swedish, taken from the French name automoBIL.

And lastly, VOLVO is a latin root word for "I roll", as used in the

words "revolution", "revolving", etc.

Happy motoring!
