01 V70 Just stopped moving????

If you jack up the wheel, I bet you can still turn it by hand. Wheel bearings do wear out, but they will not lock up the wheel so badly that the car will not move. Besides, you would have heard the screech of death :) And once the clutch was depressed, the car would have come to a rather sudden stop.

My guess at this point would be locked rear drums or a failed clutch.
