01 V70 Just stopped moving????

Ohhhh, I thought the engine had gone away. But it was the transmission...

I bet the right side driveshaft has come out of the transmission. The drive shaft got beat up while it was in the shop, causing the bearing on the driveshaft to come free of the shaft. Since that pillow block-like feature is what holds the driveshaft in the transmission (except for a wimpy circlip on the tranny end), the shaft was free to come out of the transmission. With an open diff, the car won't move without it. That would also explain the fluid leakage.

Am I right this time? I hope so only because it means a relatively easy fix.

-Will
