01 V70 Just stopped moving????

A real bummer!! If your mechanic is any good, he will open the case and find the final drive gear loose - the splines given way. It can be jammed back on and spot welded, but who knows if that will last another 50K miles.
The guys on V70R.com could make some very helpful comments when the tranny is apart. Call Erievovo and see if they have an M5 laying around.

I think I will try to sell my daughter on a 2005 V70 AT. Just for safety.
