1997 854 GLT Purchase? 850

Hello everyone! I need some input.

I currently have a 92' 240 and a 96' Jeep Grand Cherokee. I'm considering trading the Jeep on this nice 97' 850 GLT. I went and drove it today. The car itself is immaculate for the year. I didn't see a single dent or noticeable ding. This inside is just as nice. However, it has an issue that most don't want to deal with. The odometer broke at 75k miles. Although, the car looks like it has 75k miles, I'm sure it has more than that. It drives very nicely with the exception of the right front axle making a popping noice over large bumps. It has cold a/c and all the buttons work. The Turbo seemed to spool up nicely and I didn't notice smoke of any kind. The engine bay is very clean, but just clean, not armor all clean. My big question is this: Can I find out the actual mileage from the computer? If so, how? If I can find out the mileage, and it's not too bad, I will then let my mechanic look it over. The guy on the lot wants to sell it real bad as no one outside of the Volvo crowd understands the broken odo isn't that big of a deal. He wants $2500.00. Also, the radio said "rpt" or something like that.

It looks just as good in person as it does in pictures.
