To replace connecting rod bearings or not? this is the question 850 1995

Hi ken.

Not quite, the connecting rod bearings are a WEAR item. they do wear out and if one fails it ruins your engine..well the crank at least which is toast.
and to replace its pretty easy and cheap being a fwd car and dropping the pan is the hardest part.
Your rotting from rust body comparison makes no sense, Me replacing my connecting rod bearings would prob come to a grand total of less then 200. bearings, new bearing caps. oil gasket. and my time
