talking to 96 computer cel on 850 1996

I use a free scanner from the local auto parts store, but I need to be in their parking lot to do so. Disconnecting the battery will turn off the CEL until the error reappears.

You have your work cut out for yourself. New exhaust manifold, vacuum leaks, clogged oil breather lines and/or oil separator box, brakes, tires, windshield, and a possible RMS. There is also going to be a great deal of engine sludge, which means dropping the oil pan and replacing the O rings.

And once that is all fixed, you will have a 1996 850. I wonder if it is worth it?
