Rear Power Locks and Much More S60 2002

This problem began a couple of months ago but more data is available and I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
The rear power locks and trunk release ceased working. As days and weeks went by, more symptoms were noted. The release for the rear headrests doesn't work, the gas gauge reads empty and I just noticed that the backup lights don't work. It's obvious that there is a common electrical connection at fault but I can't locate it. I'm primarily a 240 fan and have all the green manuals. The S60 is my wife's car. Hopefully, someone has an idea. Thanks
