I'm looking for a "maintainable" car and have started my search in the Volvo RWD community. It finally occured to me that I might be mistaken thinking that Volvo FWD cars are harder to DIY, and in any case they're all pretty old by now and finding nice ones is probably pretty hard. I'm particularly interested in a station wagon.

So, how are the FWD Volvos to work on for a beginner and which FWD are the easiest?
