Tires: H Rated vs. V Rated. Does it make a difference? 850 1997

Hi,

I previously posted some info about the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S tires I've recently purchased.

I have a 1997 850 T-5. And I purchased the Pilot Exalto's in a size 205-55-16 which is the factory recommended size. But, I bought the H Rated Tire not the V Rated tire. It wasn't until after I purchased the tires I realized that the car most likely came with V-rated tires.

I talked to the tire center where I bought the tires, and the guy there said he thought he had read that the Pilot Exalto H & V rated tire had the same sidewall construction and that the V rated just had a different rubber wrapping that heats up when you drive faster, I'm assuming for better grip.

Me dilema is whether or not I should have a v-rated tire on my 850 T5, or will the H rated do fine? I don't race the car around, I usually never go over 70, so will the H rated tire be safe and okay for this car?

I have about 5 days left before the 30 day trial is up and I will not be able to exchange them.

Does everyone with a 850 Turbo run V rated tires out there?

Thanks.
