Confession time... Last oil change 3500 miles ago before I did
I added a quart of Transmission Fluid.. Ran the car nervously for about
five minutes and than drained it and added 6.3 quarts of Valvoline Syn.
and new Bosch filter.

Some time back I had also drilled two very tiny holes in the oil cover.

I guess this is my pennance for not doing things rite the firstime.

Today I did oil change added quart of Barrs Sealer and used Mobile 1 (5Qts)
10-40 High milage Oil. I will also attempt to check and look at the
items you mentioned...
