slow warmup and low running temp 850 96R

Hey all,

My 854R has been very slow to warm up recently, and it only tops out at about 3/4 the temperature it usually runs at. It literally takes 15 minutes of driving for the needle to be a little below horizontal. Usually my R runs with the needle exactly horizontal on the temperature gauge and warms up to normal running temp in under 5 minutes. Any ideas what it wrong? Thermostat dead?

BTW, the ambient temperature has been anything but frigid here, about 45 degrees today.

Thanks for any help,

Duncan
