The stock tire site for my particular car according to the inside of the fuel door (1994) is 205/50/ZR16, so the speedometer should not be affected at all.
These tires are the correct width and size for the Columbia wheel and have no problems with rubbing or anything else. Handling is great in the wet and dry, traction during acceleration from a stop in the wet is obviously not the best due to the FWD nature of the car.
As a side note I've had the Pirelli's up to about 130-135mph (once - impromptu competition with a new C30, tie) with total confidence. The stock brakes on the other hand (unexpected need to apply full braking power at this speed) were another story. The car did slow down without incident (tracked straight, no isses from the steering or tires, ABS began to kick in slightly as speed dropped below 100mph) but the brakes did fade heavily.
I do not recommend this to anyone without upgraded brakes. Slowing the kinetic energy of a 3500+ lb car from this speed to 60mph is way beyond my comfort level, and should have been avoided to begin with.
