Problems with 1998 v70 turn signals shut-off... V70-XC70 1998

After owning about 10 240s over the years, we purchased our first fwd about a month ago. It has a few problems, including the delaminating door panels, and a tendency for the shiftlock to stick. I suppose we have to live with the door panels (although I would be FURRIOUS if I were a $30k original owner), and I've trained my wife to pull out the shift lock button to free the ignition key when it sticks in the lock.

Another problem we've found involves the turn signals. After completing a turn, the lights do not shut off unless the steering wheel is rotated a few degrees past center opposite to the turn. Without this over-correction, the lights just keep blinking until the signal lever is manually turned off.

Has anybody else had this problem? I would be grateful for any suggestions or guidance. Glen
