talk about bad luck ... 850 1995

Stop by a dealer on your way home and ask the parts guy for a new cap. Any cracking will keep the system from pressurizing and lowers the boiling point to 212F.
After a new cap is on, mark the fluid level with a magic marker and watch it for a while.
I has a bad cap on my 1995, just age, and it took 6 weeks to lower the fluid about a cup.
