More than ABS module? V70-XC70 2000

If you'll recall I posted about a problem with my mother's V70XC: CEL, ABS, Arrow lights when Speedo goes out I agree with Klaus's diagnosis, the symptoms are consistent with a faulty ABS module.

My dad dragged his feet, waited for the symptoms and codes to reappear. They have and then some. The following is my mother's description:

"Also, we are not driving the V70 at all as Dad experienced the not moving syndrome I have been telling him about. It was the worst when he picked me up last Friday. We left Hall’s parking lot with the ABS, Brakes, and other lights on and the flashing arrow. When we started out the car hesitated and would not move as it has been doing slightly for me…..then when we came up Lucas Road and turned in the lane, it would not move. After a minute or so it began creeping up the lane. It has not been driven other than to park it since. Would this type of action be caused by the ABS part you think needs rebuilt? Any ideas to stimulate Dad’s thinking and acting would be appreciated."

Sounds to me like it's more than just the ABS computer that has taken a dump?

Going home this weekend. I need to purchase an OBDII scanner...
