Left dash light and left air vent 850 94

Hello all. I have been lurking for a few weeks gathering information, and just bought a 94 850T wagon to cart my growing family around in; my first Volvo. Sure does stick out in a rural midwestern town.

When I purchased it from a dealer, the trip/temp/mpg/etc computer needed to be replaced as a condition of sale. When driving home after the computer was replaced, I noticed the left dash light is now out; can't see anything on the left side (gas gague, etc). Seems like a direct result of replacing the computer. Dealer said bring it back next time I'm in town and they will take care of it.

I just noticed that the left air vent now only blows hot; blows hot before car warms up, blows hot even with AC on cold . . . Other vents blow what they are supposed to.

Is it possible that this too is related to the computer replacement? (i.e. should the dealer fix this for free like the dash light) If it is not related, what could it be? I searched the archive to no avail.

Thanks for any light you can shed.
