Re: engine stabilizer bracket problem S70 1998

On my MY2000 the rubber bushing mounts in a cast alum bracket(not talking about the one that bolts to the fire wall)that then bolts to the engine head with I think 4 bolts. Are you saying the engine head is cracked where one of the bolts goes in, or just the cast alum bracket that the bolts go through first? If its just the bracket....I dont see any problem at all.....just replace it, it comes with the new bushing already pressed into it.....bolt it to the cyl head, and then to the torque arm itself. If the bolt hole in the cyl head is stripped.....I guess a "Heli-Coil" should work, and that repair should not cost you too much money.
