The only other thing I can think of right now(with out going down to my garage and looking at my car)is if ther is enough room drill another hole in the bracket, and drill a matching hole in the cyl head, then tap it out to the size/pitch/threads per inch of the existing bolts....or you could still put a "heli-coil" in there because the heli-coil thread isert is made of stainless steel....and would be way harder to strip than the cast alum.

the only thing is....I dont know if there is enough extra room on the mounting bracket to do this.....or if drilling, and tapping a hole in your cyl head is such a good idea. I would check with a Volvo tech(who you knoe for sure you can trust) BEFORE I did anything.
