I am looking at a 2002 V70 XC wagon with 95k, it was a local trade to a dealership and they are asking 7K for it, what I would like to know are there still a lot of problems with the AWD system on this years model, the dealer produced the carfax for me and the car had regular maintenance at a local Volvo dealer. I have read other posts that say stay away from 01-02 because they were first generation after Ford took over, I guess I just want to know whether this is true of this model. The car looks great a little wear on the leather seats, runs very smoothly, lots more power than my old 940T wagon, which is starting to manifest a lot of 15 yr old problems which I don't personally have the time to address right now, ie.would therefore have to take to mechanic to fix.
