Is this where I charge my A/C? 850 1997

The pressostat is what you are looking for, and it is close to the firewall.

If you are cycling rapidly from 20-45lbs, you should be at least 1/2 can low. The pressure in the can should be over 45lbs!!! Let tthe can sit in the sun for a while before using it.

Shorting the pressostat to get the clutch to kick in is only used to eliminate other problems. Don't do it to keep the clutch engaged, you will then have other problems.
