I've got a 2000 XC that was purchased in the Chicago area. In the last week or so it has started to develop a squeeking sound from the passenger side rear. It is not a squeek like you would hear if something were rotating though. After crawling under the car and having the wife make it bounce ;) it seems like the sound is coming from the shock. There appears to be no place to lubricate and I'm a little surprised by the sound because the car only has about 23k miles on it. Any suggestions would be welcome. It's still under warranty but I'd like to try to pinpoint the problem before I take it back to the idoits at the dealership.
