abs control unit replacement 850 1996

I am about to replace my abs control unit on my 96 855 turbo (with tracs). The volve parts people counseled me to not do it myself (for fear I may screw up other software or mechanical systems, etc). Has anyone installed this themselves, and do I have anything to worry about? I'd rather save the $200 in service fees, and it is an easy install.
