That's a really good question guys, what lead to the diagnosis?

For me it was a series of things:

- First, check the codes. Mine were 314 and 324. Right rear sensor signal problems.

- Next start at the least expensive part and work my way up. I replaced the rear sensors to no avail.

- Then I traced the pins and found that by wiggling the pin specific connectors in the CU, the problem would go away.

- The clincher for me was to talk to a number of mechs from different Volvo repair places. All of them said that in 95% of the cases with a right rear wheel sensor signal interupt code, that the CU had to be replaced.

Now I'm saving my pennies to purchase a ew CU.
