Idle Surge/Vibration S60 2001

I have an S60 2.4T with automatic (no geartronic) and it has about 4500 miles so far. In general, it has been problem free, but I have noticed an idle issue that I wanted to bring to the group. What I notice is this, as I approach a stop light and the revs drop to idle, for a brief moment the tach goes down to about 500 RPM. It then adjusts up to and even idle of about 650 RPM. When it does this, I feel a surge or vibration (hard to describe)before everything smooths out. The same thing happens when the A/C is operating, but the effect feels more pronounced. No stalling at all. I somehow feel this is what would be considered "normal operation" and was wondering if anyone else notices this. Could it be a result of the drive by wire set up? Perhaps since the transmission shifts to neutral when stopped in gear??

I am not going to bring the car in for service until I reach 7500 miles. Besides a sticking key fob problem already mentioned here, and a loose glovebox door, everything else seems good with this vehicle.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Regards,

Jim
