Glove box fix 850 1995

Cutting the U bolt for the glove box can be neatly done, IF you take your time and use some duct tape to cover the vinyl.

There is a plastic pin in the latch that breaks off, keeping you from unlocking the catch.
I did see a thread somewhere, probably Volvospeed, where the poster found a way to reach in with a stiff wire and unlatch it. But he practiced with the glove box open and it was all by feel.
