Thanks for all your help, Klaus, as usual.

It fired right up. A bit of clicking (valves? lifters?). Let it run for a while and the clicking stopped, replaced by the old familiar hummmmmm. Smoke stopped after the residual oil burned off the mani, turbo...

Forgot how amazing this car is. Been driving a ratty old Saturn back up.

Turned the rotors, new pads, found a loose wheel bearing. No biggie compared to a burnt valve. I'll do CV boots at the same time.

With 137K, gorgeous charcoal paint and leather interior, the car is worth it.
