Re: Is it really worth the performance? S70 98

Is it worth the performance? In a word, "YES". The ECU is the single most effective "add-on" for performance. I installed the TME unit, and although it was recommended that it be run with an aftermarket exhaust, I could not afford it at the time, so it is installed a capella. My '98 is an automatic, so the "off the line" performance increase is not as noticable as it would be with your 5 spd (due to my not being able to rev the engine to launch), but once the RPM hits 3500, it slingshots--a real rush of power. Personally, I believe that it would be much more advantageous in your application. But make no mistake, I will not be swapping back to the stock unit...I enjoy the ability to pass slow traffic on a whim.

The question becomes: What can be done to keep the front from "hunting" under full acceleration? Anyone?
